Dharma Dreams Vocational Center is a place where all faculty and staff are excited and passionate about teaching our students to learn real job skills in the most compassionate and enlightened way possible. Dharma Dreams Vocational Center is opening in Fall of 2025; and we are looking to speak to and hire people for the following roles. Please contact us if you would like to be involved in finalizing the curriculum and creating what this program will be. We are a small special needs trade job training program and we are looking for people who are willing to work in a multi-functional way.   • Principal/School Administrator

    • Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of day to day business and administrative tasks for the school
    • Works with CEO and key stakeholders (students and member of the school board) to review the effectiveness of the schools’ Policies, Procedures and Processes
    • Maintains office supplies by checking stocks; placing and expediting orders; evaluating new products.
    • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs.
    • Works with CEO to define job positions for recruitment and manages interviewing process
    • Works to ensure smooth transition for new team members
    • Responsible for training, evaluation and assessment of employees
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Oversees the smooth running of the daily activities of the school.
  • Special Needs Teachers

    • Deliver structured, hands-on training in trade skills (e.g., landscaping, painting, plastering) during a 3-4 week preparatory program.  
    • Teach key areas such as workplace safety, tool/equipment usage, customer service, and job expectations.  
    • Collaborate with business partners or tradespeople to provide on-site, real-world training for 1-3 months during the program.  
    • Support students as they transition into their internships, working closely with the Job Coach to communicate student knowledge, strengths, and areas for growth.  
    • Serve as a liaison between students, business partners, and job coaches to ensure student needs and training goals are met.  
    • Document student progress, provide feedback, and adjust training methods as needed. 
    • Responsible for compassionate and appropriate guidance for students learning experience
    • Assess students skills to determine needs, and work with team to adapt programs
    • Primary point of contact for parents as it relates to concerns regarding IEP and vocational center for each student.  In our program, teachers are not responsible for IEP’s as students will no longer be on them; however, parents may have questions.
    • Plan, organize and assign activities to students to support vocational learning
    • Work with students on curriculum areas and any specialized functional skills as it relates to vocational skills such as measurement, dangers, and additional skills that are deemed necessary for basic skills learning
    • Discuss student progress with with parents, administrators, job coaches, business partners and others as necessary 
    • Willingness to work as job coach as required
    • Willingness to pitch in for all of Dharma Dreams Vocational Center as required.  We are a small program seeking a team player.
  • Job Coach

    • Collaborate with business partners to introduce job tasks, expectations, and workplace culture.  
    • Provide personalized, on-the-job support and guidance to ensure students understand tasks and meet expectations.  
    • Act as a liaison between Dharma Dreams Vocational Center, students, and business partners to monitor progress and address challenges.  
    • Reinforce essential soft skills such as communication, time management, teamwork, and problem-solving.  
    • Conduct regular check-ins with students and employers to provide feedback and ensure ongoing success.  
    • Document progress and communicate any concerns or adjustments needed to support student growth. 
    • High School Diploma required; further education in special education, vocational rehabilitation, or related fields is a plus.  
    • Prior experience in job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.  
    • Experience supporting young adults in employment or vocational settings is ideal.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.  
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to individual needs.  
    • Ability to collaborate with teams and work independently.  
    • Basic knowledge of workplace safety and accommodations.  
    • Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Vocational Teachers (future position)

    • Responsible for compassionate and accurate training of students
    • Works with special needs teachers to assess progress and proficiency in core program
    • Guides students to work in cooperative and safe manner with each other, following all safety guidelines
    • Works with special needs teachers to better understand how each student learns
    • Works with special needs teachers to understand problems and complaints from each student
    • Works with principal and special needs teachers to expand and modify responsibilities as needed
  • Para-Professionals (future position)

    • Assist both special needs teachers as well as vocational teachers in classrooms, providing administrative support and  assistant teaching skills
    • Supervise students outside of the classroom
    • Assist teachers and administrators with any behavioral issues
    • Support all other staff as necessary from lunch to meditation and other
    • Be willing to adapt as necessary to program needs
  • Meditation Specialist (future position)

    • Lead daily meditation sessions for students and teachers
    • Work with students and teachers on mindfulness practices
    • Promote positivity and belief-in-self programs
    • Work on effective communication with staff and students
    • Create flyers and communication vehicles such as bulletin boards for health and wellness
    • Work with all staff members to create a peaceful and healthful environment through essential oils, acupressure techniques such as EFT
    • Work with parents to support beneficial programs outside of school including techniques utilized in school
  • Receptionist/Admin (future position)

    You are often the first face that someone sees when they walk through the doors, so your job is to be a happy and positive representative of the school.  You will be responsible for greeting viksitors, asnwering phones, ;providing information to students and parents.  You are a knowldgeable resource about nwhat is going on at the school and are willing to work with teachers and administrators as necessary.

The pay range for this role is hourly: $15 - $25 per hour.


Pay range is based on several factors and may vary. Final wage and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. This position is contract and not currently eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. DDVC complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.


Work Environment:

  • Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekend occurs and may be required.
  • Project visits and other travel may be required on occasion
  • Incumbent may be exposed to frequent noise caused by office and project industrial site equipment and activities, including telephones, office and trade equipment or machines, and nearby oral communications among fellow employees.
  • This position is classified as an “in-person” position. As such, an ergonomic work-from-home office/dedicated area with appropriate internet and bandwidth to conduct business is required.


Required Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time.
